BEEZWAX TRAX

Maya is a freelance audio engineer and music producer based in LA. She has over 15 years of experience recording, editing, mixing and mastering professional audio for a variety of applications/settings. 

Maya began her career in the SF Bay Area, working in the private studio of composer/VO actor Mark Keller, and recording/mixing/producing at the Sound Arts and Women's Audio Mission studios. In addition, Maya is an accomplished live sound engineer who has mixed FOH and Monitors for thousands of shows for legendary artists at various concert venues, theaters, festivals, and has toured with Rosanne Cash as a Monitor Engineer.

Maya's other experience in the music industry includes merchandising/social media for Metallica, playing in several Bay Area bands, and writing/producing/performing her own original music, formerly with the band Gringa. She's a member of SoundGirls, Women's Audio Mission, United Musicians and Allied Workers, Subvert.fm, and has lent her skills to eco/social justice organizations like Rock the Bike, Living Earth and the Harriet Tubman Center. 

Maya is currently studying Sound Healing Therapy and performs as Maya B Fury. She mixes independent music and sound for film/podcast out of her home in Los Angeles, and is available for freelance projects. Contact: mayathemixer@gmail.com
